When Open Hands Make Room for Miracles

Signs on the street read, “NO PRICING. All donations go to Together Ministry Center.” As people came to our moving sale, it was obvious they were puzzled. When they inquired about the cost of an item, whether it was a large piece of furniture or an article of clothing, my response was always the same. Give what you feel led to give. And if you have nothing to offer, that is fine, too. If our supply meets your needs, please take what you need without cost.

That day, the love of Jesus was made manifest over and over again! It was so exciting! What will God do when we open our hands and trust Him? Our hide-a-bed couch is now a bed for two young children. Our bookshelf, with baskets for organizing, is now providing a place for children’s clothes and other belongings. After the tragic death of her daughter, a hurting grandmother and I shared tears of gratitude as we acknowledged the Lord’s loving hand at work in this provision. And this is just one story of countless others. Our God is not a God far off. He is near! He sees, He knows, He hears.
